eten Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the eten app ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
eten is a recipe and cookbook app that helps you organize, import, and cook recipes.
Free Tier: Users may create and maintain up to 10 active recipes for free. Deleted recipes do not count toward this limit.
Premium Subscription: A paid "eten Premium" subscription unlocks unlimited recipe storage and additional premium features.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
Subscription Cycles and Payments
- Annual Premium: The Service offers an annual subscription for $12.99/year.
- Payments will be charged to your Apple ID Account at the confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Management and Cancellation
- You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.
- Refunds: All billing and refunds are processed by Apple. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.
Trial Periods
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
4. Account Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and maintain the security of your password.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of the recipes and other content you add to eten ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, sync, display, and process your content to provide the Service.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to violate any laws, infringe on rights, or attempt unauthorized access to our systems. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Third-Party Services and EULA
Apple (StoreKit): Payments are handled via Apple. This Service is governed by the Standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Other Services: Firebase (Google), Customer.io, and Unsplash. Use of these services is subject to their respective terms.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for the accuracy or safety of user-added or imported recipe content.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, eten shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time via the in-app Settings. Upon deletion, your account and associated data will be removed according to our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription; you must cancel the subscription through Apple.
11. Changes
We may modify these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
