How can we help?
eten is for home cooks who want their saved recipes, weekly meal plan, and grocery list in one app on iPhone or iPad. Import a recipe URL, organize your cookbook into collections, plan meals, and send the ingredients you need to Apple Reminders.
Yes. Paste a recipe URL to extract its ingredients and instructions, or create and edit your own recipes. Organize recipes into collections and search your cookbook by recipe name or ingredient.
Yes. Plan one or more recipes per day, then build a grocery list for one day, selected days, or the whole week. eten merges duplicate ingredients and totals compatible quantities. Uncheck what you already have and send the rest to Apple Reminders.
Cooking Mode shows one instruction at a time and lets you check off ingredients as you prepare them. The Tonight's Plan Home Screen widget also lets you open today's planned recipes directly.
You can start free with up to 10 saved recipes. An eten Premium subscription unlocks unlimited recipe storage. Check the App Store for current subscription pricing in your region.

You can add recipes in four ways. Tap the New Recipe button (the + button in the center of the tab bar):
• Add Manually – Opens a blank recipe form. Enter the title, ingredients, instructions, and other details yourself.
• Import URL (Magic Import) – Paste any recipe URL. eten will scrape the page and fill in the recipe for you.
• Copy from Notes – Copy your recipe text in the Notes app first, then tap Add → Paste from Notes. eten will parse the text and create a recipe.
• Take a Picture – Opens the camera. Take a photo of a recipe (e.g., from a card or cookbook page). eten uses OCR to extract the text and pre-fills the recipe form.
Collections (folders): On the Folders tab, press and hold a collection folder for about half a second. Edit mode will activate. Select the collection(s) you want to delete, then tap the delete action. You can choose "Delete Collection Only" (keeps recipes) or "Delete All Recipes in Collection."
Recipes: On the Recipes tab (or inside a collection), press and hold a recipe card for about half a second. Edit mode will activate. Select the recipe(s) you want to delete, then tap the delete action.
The Discover tab is the second tab (magnifying glass icon). It includes:
• Search bar: Type a recipe search and submit to open a Google recipe search in an in-app browser.
• Featured feed: "Featuring: Woks of Life" shows recipe cards. Tap a card to open the recipe page in the in-app browser.
Import Recipe button: While viewing a recipe page in the browser, tap Import Recipe in the top-right header. eten will scrape the current page and save the recipe to your cookbook.
